Season ender

Amelia had her championship game last night.  They played a travel softball team, which are way too serious btw!!  The first inning we were worried it was going to not be pretty....Our girls finally pulled themselves together and by the third inning it was a good game.  Amelia did so good! 

 Unfortunately we fell short and the final score was 10-9. To see their little faces after they lost broke my heart. With tears in their eyes they accepted their 2nd place award. We were placed, I think, 6th out of 7 teams going into the tournament so we know how hard they played.

Followed by our supper for the second time this week.  Avie makes sure she gets EVERY last drop

oh what a week!!

This has already been a BUSY week!!  Today is the actual last day of school, but Amelia always skips b/c there is no reason for her to sit through Senior Chapel, so yesterday she finished.  But we will start with Saturday...........

Avie had her team party, it was a pool party.  Of course she loved it and was so proud to get her trophy!

On to Monday....cause Sunday we just laid at  the pool:)

This was Amelia's first year in machine pitched softball, and she has come such a long way, the whole team has.  So Monday started the tournament.  They have a 75 minute time limit, and we were visitors.  So it was the last inning (only about 10 minutes left) and we were down by 5.....and we tied the game.  So the other team of course gets last bat...still tied...Then we go back in to hit and we are at the bottom of the line up..and Amelia is third batter...first little girl gets up..out..then the next, she gets base hit...then Amelia, she gets a hit and gets out at first but the runner gets home. Anyway to make a long game short we won 14-11, they were THRILLED.....

Last night, Tuesday, we played the number one team.  They came in with BIG attitude at the end of the first inning we were up 2-1 and then we had an HOUR lightning delay...we finally started again at 8...and we won!!  Amelia finally made it all the way home, they were so excited...and we were too!!  So championship game on Thursday.

On Tuesday Amelia had her Awards program at school.  She received Headmasters Honor Roll and the Bible Award.  We are so proud of her.

We are also leaving on Sunday for vacay....all I have done is cleaned the camper nothing else....so Friday night and Saturday will be busy.  I am taking Abby and Amelia to a concert Saturday night, and Donald has made it very clear we are leaving at 4am on Sunday...so I will be SLEEPY!!

Come to the ballgame Thursday at 6 and wear blue!!!

In a little over a week is our vacation....I did not have vacay last year b/c of new babies and surgeries at work...so I AM READY!!!  These are from the when we went to the Keys in 2010.

Last day of pre school

Yesterday was Avie's last day of Pre school.  She has learned so much from Mrs. Missy.  I told her in my most stern voice to quit growing up, and she told me she had too:(  Below is side by side from first and last day...she looks about the same size to me:)

of course she threw up most of  the night and I am leaving to go out of town for work......poor baby

We did a bunch of nothing over the weekend.  Donalds baseball season ended Friday night (I am so sad...) so the girls and I were in bed asleep by 9.  My throat was sore all day Friday, I had plans on doing 15 miles Saturday so I got up, took some childrens cough syrup b/c that is all I could find....about 90 minutes in...I was not feeling good at all so I somehow made it home.  Thinking maybe it was my blood sugar I took that, no it was 112, perfect.  So I got a shower and ate and then realized it was a medicine fog:)  I was only able to get 10 in.  Then we went to the pool where I was preety much wiped out all afternoon.  I was able to find some antibiotic in my cabinet so I am feeling much better now:)

Wednesday before Church we stopped at the library, it is right in our neighborhood.  When we pulled up Avie said, "Hey remember that tome I took my clothes off at the library"....yes Avie we remember...and we also remember why the library lady has that "look" on our face when we walk in....

 I was cleaning out Amelia's closet...which is like a weekly task...and found this.  of course the dress up queen wanted to try it on.

 Since Donald's season is over, I was able to come home after work on Monday and run.  IT WAS HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I need to build myself back up to the crazy S GA heat.

Tonight is Anna's graduation.  Her and Avie's Pre-school class have learned EVERY patriotic song every written....she sings them all the time.  It is really good when she does her own remix of them and adds other words:)
