Relay for life, game, pool and party!!

We have already had such a busy weekend!!  Friday night was Relay for Life, and since Bevy did not want to be outdone by Papa on the survivor lap she went and got breast cancer last year....sheesh some people:)

 Amelia had a game Saturday morning at 9:30, which was way too early.  I got up at 6 to go run and it was HOT!!!!   It is suppose to be 97 here today:(  After the game we went to the pool.

 Last night we had a party for Avie, she wanted an ice cream cake but those things are way to expensive so I made an ice cream sandwich cake. 

 About 2 minutes after everyone left she passed out.

We are finally down to the final countdown of school and I am so ready for it to be OVER!! 

Last birthday posts!!

We are having Avie's party on Saturday so we had just a "people who live in our house" (as Avie says) party last night.  We had planned to go out to eat but Amelia got home from Jekyll yesterday and the frappe she had along with the bus ride did not mix well with her stomach......

One of Avie's favorite things to do is pick out her own clothes....after about 6 tries we agreed on this:)

 While Donald and Avie went to Church, and Amelia laid on the couch, I hung streamers with tape on the fan (CLASSY!!!!!)  Donald called when they turned in the neighborhood so we turned out all the lights.....after she finally made it from the back door to the living room we yelled surprise.  SHE WAS SO EXCITED:) 

 She loves to play babies so we got her a high chair, that looked much bigger on the box, she put her Bertha baby in it and it kept tipping over:)

 Then she started with the cupcakes.  Avie and I are a perfect team on these, I do not like icing and she does not like the cake part:)

As I sit here and listen to a bear  Avie snoring, I can not believe she is 4 years old!! I read back of the days after she was born, of how happy and then how worried we were about the cleft and her heart.  I read about the day when they said the hole in the ventricle had closed itself.  I read about going to Atlanta, the feedings, the constant worry she would strangle herself and how we made her sleep in our room elevated b/c we were worried.  Long after her cleft surgery was over I realized that I wish I had known how smooth and easy it would go and how we would be fine with the special bottles and dealing with her recovery.  She was such an easy going baby....and then after surgery she went STARK RAVING WILD!!!!

She was so excited last night when we picked up her pink and purple cupcakes for school today.  She was just as excited about the paper plates:) 

April 24. 2012

As I sit on the eve of the cutest 3 year old evers birthday, I can't help but to look back at my blog posts from 4 years ago.  On April 24, 2008 I had the last appt of the day, and I knew from my NST and ultrasound that the Dr was going to make me go for observation...and I was not happy.  Donald was at a baseball game and would not answer his cell, I finally had to call the other coach to tell him I was going in.  Luckily we had already decided he would drive his own truck rather than ride bus to the games.  Needless to say I drove myself to the hospital...all 205 pounds of me.....I was a sight!!!

GOOD GRACIOUS PETE...I realize I was pregnant but I only had 1 baby, and this pic was from Easter about 3 weeks before Avie was born and she was a month early.  And Avie looks just like Amelia:)

Anyway....where was I going with this....we were so nervous that night, and I was a little annoyed I even had to spend the night b/c I was so busy at work, and besides I had a scheduled date and it was in MAY! 

Back to the present, Amelia is still on her school trip to Jekyll, and Avie and I miss her...but I do not miss the homework, I am even able to go running tonight whenever Donald gets home from the game.  Amelia fell yesterday, in the marsh....she was a muddy mess.  That was right after she made a comment about the crabs in the marsh mating.....where do they get these things from.  Below is pic her teacher took today, she is a lot braver without us with her!!

No pic b/c it was not a pretty number I saw. Hopefully this week I can get on track. I did run 10 miles Saturday, not very fast but done just the same.

Avie's first game

Avie had her very first t-bat game last night.  She was so excited.  She did so good, and by good I mean listened to the coach, did not fight other kids, run around and almost get hit by a bat, or get mad and sit right outside the batter circle while people try to convince you to move b/c it is not our turn to bat.  Glad she did not do all that b/c we have a demon monster kid on our team who did all that.

Both girls have games Thursday at the same time, thankfully the early game b/c we did not get home until 8:15 last night and that is way past my bedtime:)

After 2 weekends out of town and eating everything I possibly could, I am not too upset....only 1 pound difference....

Girls weekend and Art Show

I left Thursday for the girls trip.  It was awesome.  We went to Orange Beach, AL.  Leigh-Leigh's friends have a house there that was amazing!!

Ballgame

Amelia had her first game last night.  This year she moved up to machine pitch.  She did so good, their team won 8-1 and Amelia got a hit!

 She has a VERY loose tooth,like it is bruised at the gum and needs to come out.  She is 8 and has lost 6 teeth....4 of which had to finally be cut out because her permanent teeth were already in behind the baby teeth.  The last two that were pulled was a very dramatic experience...like she had to be held down and fought us.  So last night shoe wrote Donald this note...my favorite part is when she drew the pic and wrote "I better look like this when I get done"...of course when he tried to do it she woke up and quickly changed her mind.

Easter Weekend

We spent the weekend in Orlando with L2L.  Amelia did so good and Avie was crazy:)

 This is a pic of the puppet team.  They called the top three on stage.  The kids were so excited...then they called third place...not them and then second....

and it was just like when they announce the Miss America runner up.  Our puppet team won first, they were so excited and proud of themselves.  And there is my kid on the front row acting crazy...just like her Dad!

 Sunday was also Abby's 13th brithday.  So we had a lottle impromptu party after the awards ceremony.

 Easter morning.  Avie was her normal self and took a couple of pictures and then proceeded to pull Amelia's dress up.  Amelia was NOT happy!!!

I totally skipped the weigh in on Monday, actually I weighed myself but it hurt my feelings.  I am a firm believer you do not diet out of town...and since I am leaving for the beach Thursday thru Sunday this could be not good......
