Spring Break

Today is Amelia and Donald's last day until Spring Break....thank goodness.  I get up at 4am to workout (and have quiet time) so I can sleep a little later since I will not have to wake them up.

Avie had her Easter Program and Egg Hunt at School on Wednesday, since I am totally terrible at reading the notes I did not realize there was a program and got there right before it started...which resulted in my awesome seat:(

 She was so proud she was one of the few who got to hold an egg for a song they did!

 She asked me about 2798374 times if I had gotten a picture holding the egg.

 then it was time to hunt eggs.  Avie is not a competitive child at all, (unlike the kids in her class).  She found the first one and opened it looked at the candy, I told her Avie dont open each one see ifyou can find another one, so she found another one and apparently it was wet so she dryed it off, I said Avie just put it in your basked.  She put her hands on her hip (her fave thing to do) and said "Mama I did not open it I was drying it"...and then rolled her eyes:)

 Cute little grass head they made, totally missed the part of the note about sending in clear 2 liter bottle....funny thing when I was walking out her teacher and the director about trampled me to make sure I knew there was a note in her bag about next month activities...wonder why

 EVERY SINGLE NIGHT about 30 minutes before she goes to sleep she is a WILD ANIMAL!!!!! Last night she was extra crazy and then 2 seconds later out:)

Tbat and the Easter Bunny

Avie finally had her first tbat practice, last week was cancelled b/c of weather, she was SO EXCITED!!  She did so good!

 Then we went to Chick-fil-a for kids eat free night and to see the Easter Bunny.  Avie was pumped about that also.  Amelia is pumped that next week is Spring Break, so is Donald, and so am I!!

Good week!!

Yay!!  I had a good eating and exercising week last week.  I kinda also think it is a fluke and may get my feelings hurt next Monday, but we shall see!

 We hunted eggs Sunday at Papa and Bev's since we will be out of town on Easter. 

Avie has her first t-bat practice tomorrow and is excited!!!

 Thursday it rained, tbat and softball practice were cancelled (aww....) so Avie played a little in the rain. 

 This morning was the 10k and the fun run.  My goal was 66 minutes (11 min mile).  It was humid:(  My time was 1:05.37 so I was good with that.
This pic was before the girls fun run and Avie was mad b/c I would not let her have another cookie.

 This was at the start line, about 5 seconds before it started raining.  I told them the rain would keep them cool.

 I told Amelia not to stay with Avie and I, so she took off in a crazy sprint.  This is her going across the finish line.  She did good.

I am counting this as good, considering the weekend wedding and the start of Sundays at Bev's pool!!

 Let the Sunday ritual begin!!  The pool was COLD

 and I finally bought Chalean Extreme and am super excited:)  Already started kinda mixing it in with my p90x obsession!! And I have my first 10k Saturday, there will def be some walking, my goal is 1 hour 6 minutes.   The girls are excited b/c I signed them up for the Fun Run, Avie "worked out" last night which involved som very interesting push ups:)

We are exhausted from the wedding today!!
Avie spent Friday night with Anna and  Donald had an away ballgame so Amelia and I went to eat and had a little retail therapy!  We came home and then had a random hail storm, the weather was bad!!  But it passed quickly.

 We got up bright and early to help set up chairs and tables, then I came home and ran 7 miles (so I could eat cake).  Then got ready for the shin-dig.  Avie looks ginormous in this pic.....

 The wedding was so sweet and Katie was beautiful! The reception was outside and even though it is March it was 90 degrees!!!!!!!!  It was hot!!!  But the food, especially the key lime cake was so good:)

  After the wedding we cleaned up and are finally home and are worn out.

Katie Bug

We are so excited for Katie (and Austin's) big day tomorrow.  I am sure she will be a beautiful bride.  Other than when she was a raving crazy 4 year old wild woman she has always been so sweet and kind, I am holding out for hope for my wild woman!!  We use to go on shopping trips every year, and I taught her lots of bargain secrets!!  This pic makes me feel so old, and reinforces my strong dislike of bangs, give me a break it was the 90's!!

Avie is so excited and keeps "making sure" there will be cake at the wedding....and by cake I know she really means icing!!

Checking in

In the last year I have lost 20 pounds, and while that is great I still have, in my mind, about 15 to go.  I am trying to make myself be more accountable so I am going to put it out there.  I guess I could have just texted this to Louise......ha.  I had been stuck at 145 for the past 2 weeks so I was happy about this.

Friday Amelia spent the night with Evan, when Avie and I stopped by on the way home she showed us her new lizard....Avie said it was delicious and wanted to eat it....she is NUTS!!

She went to sleep, with Ashley Leigh Whitebaby wathcing, at about 8:30 and seemed fine....

Saturday I have been trying to go on longer runs, this week I was hoping for 15 miles.  So I got up, ate something and was waiting for around 8 when Avie coughed that cough...you know the one....the throw up one:(  She was pitiful, she apparently was so congested and snotty (gross I know) that her stomach was full and she threw up and threw up...snot.  She strangled and struggled so much to get it up her nose bled and the little vessels in her eye broke.

She finally wiped herself out at about 9:30 so Donald went and got Amelia.  When he got back I went and ran (there may be some walking in there but its my blog and I can call it what I want).  I only got 9.5 miles in b/c Donald had baseball practice. He took Amelia with him and I hung out with sickly who started perking up, and ate some BBQ chips and popcorn:)

 Then she really perked up and cabin fever took over and she became her crazy self!!

 She seems much better today.  After lunch and a Sunday afternoon nap I went and ran for about an hour and got 5 miles in.  Now Amelia and Avie are playing nicely in her room.......

Our week

This is randomness.

On Tuesday my car hit the 111,111 mile mark.   Yes I took a pic, on the interstate.  I have only 3 payments left and plan on driving that sweetness until the wheels fall off...or the air does not work:)

Wednesday was pajama day at Avie's pre-school.  She TRIED to take Ashley Leigh Whitebaby, but Mrs. Missy made her leave her in the car.  I thought Avie was going to cry or grab that hot mess and run but she did good and just walked her tight pajama self inside.

 They finally finished the new park in our neighborhood, the 1970's had called and wanted the other one back!!!!!!!  I took off early Thursday fo Amelia's program so we had to stop on the way home from school.  The girls loved it.

 Thursday night was Writer's Night at Amelia's school.  She has been SO NERVOUS!!!!!  She literally made herself sick Wednesday night, but she did great.  They recorded their story and an "I Am" poem, but had to introduce it. 

Thank goodness today is Friday, it has been a week of Mondays at work and we have NO plans for the weekend.
