Two post in one day this pic was too cute. Avie is finally starting to smile when we talk to her. Every once in a while she will laugh. She had been doing good sleeping all night but in the past week she has been getting up at least once and some days twice....to eat. They had told us that cereal would not flow through the special bottles (picture at bottom), but I did some online research, mostly blogs of people with kids with clefts, and they said they did. They said the more you use you may have to take the flow disc out, but she is able to drink it through the bottle. Donald just got done feeding her a 3.5 ounces of water, 1tbs cereal and 1.5 scoops of formula, she is barely able to move at this point....Hopefully she will sleep all night!!

2 Months Old
Today Avie is 2 months old. She is sleeping all night, YEA!!!!, and she is eating good....you will see proof of that as you scroll down!! That is about all of the exciting things she does, she still has a little bobble head, but she can hold it up for longer periods of time almost every day. Now for some pictures.
She makes the funniest face when she is crying and then stops, she just curls those lips and as Amelia says "looks Pafetic." After her bath, if she is fussy a bath always calms her down.
Below is the proof that she is having no trouble eating and gaining weight. Her hair looks curly when she gets out of the bath before I comb it, but if you let it dry without combing it down it looks like she stuck her finger in an electrical outlet.

This week
Since Donald's truck would not hold 2 car seats we knew we had to sell it. We put an ad in the paper on Saturday and by Thursday it was sold, so this week he bought a new truck...with a full backseat so both car seats would fit. Someone is getting BIG........She is up to 4 ounces at most feedings, especially the first one in the morning. She does not go to the Dr until July 7th, by then I think she will weigh over 10 pounds!!
I bought myself a laptop. Since I have to work a lot at home I decided I would much rather be able to sit on the couch or in my bed than at the desk......
Amelia is enjoying summer with her Daddy, she has missed Anna and Abby this week since they have been in Nashville. I told her they are coming back on Monday but she still does not have a very good concept of time. One month from today she will be 5, she is ready for her party. She has already told Donald no boys allowed!!

Happy Father's Day!!
The girls before Church. They were their matching dresses that Susan, from my office, made them. They have their initials on them, I tried to explain to Amelia what that mean, but she told me that Ms. Susan had spelled them wrong....

7 weeks
Tomorrow Avie will be 7 weeks. We can't believe she is already 7 weeks, but then again we can't believe it has only been 7 weeks. She still does not do a whole lot of exciting things, she can hold her head up, but then she will flop it to the side. She does like to look around, a few of her favorite things are ceiling lights, the fan and the mobile over her crib. her eyes are still very blue so I think she will probably have big blue eyes like Amelia. NOT a very good pic, but Amelia likes to use the camera.
