Dr Visit

Went to the Dr on Monday, failed BIG time the NST I mean it was like a straight line on the heartbeat constant 140, even when she used the buzzer nothing. So they went ahead with the BPP ultrasound, everything looked fine there, fluid level has gone down to like 18.1 so he said that was good. The fun part is at 36 weeks you get to be examined when you go, so since I go twice a week...I am holding out hope.....He said she was going to be a BIG baby. I go back on Thursday and he went ahead and ordered another ulra sound with the NST since the last NST was not good.

We had pancakes for supper tonight, and I saw on the internet how to make letter pancakes. Now you are suppose to have a squirt bottle, but since I do not keep extra of those I had to improvise with a spoon for the letter A, of course I had to take a picture of it. Amelia and I tried to do a heart, but that one did not work out.

Abby's Bday, another game, and a VIS baby shower

Last Saturday we celebrated Abby's 9th birthday with a tea party.

Opening the loot.

Anna was only interested in the paper, one man;s trash I guess is her treasure.

"No, they said I could have this paper...." she probably ate a couple of mouthfuls.

Tuesday Amelia had another game, it was freezing, hence the black pants.

She made it all the way to third on a triple she hit to the right fielder....only kidding they only go from one base to the next per hitter.

On Friday I had a baby shower at work. I work with such "special" people.....
I think Summer is fixing to punch Jessica for taking her picture for about the third time....

Monique thought I was the slowest present opener ever.

Susan monogrammed Avie's initials on the diaper, she also made Amelia and Avie matching monogrammed dresses, she is so crafty.
Connie had this made for Avie's room.

That's all for now, go back to the Dr on Monday for a NST and ultrasound. Only 3 more weeks, we are in the final countdown. We think??? we have everything ready, Amelia says all we are missing is the baby.

Monday appt

Went this morning for another appt, NST I pretty much failed, apparently Avie was asleep. The ultrasound looked good he said, saw everything that he needed to. They said she weighed 6 lbs 6 ounces, they said she would be a BIG baby......They measure weight by the size of the thigh bone, which Amelia was 21 inches, above avg and only weighed 7.1 so who knows.....I go back Thursday for an NST, then on Monday they will do a doppler ultrasound where they measure the bloodflow through the cord, I guess b/c of the 2 vessels, but I am thinking growth is not really an issue here. I asked him if I would make it 4 more weeks, he said he doubted it but we were not going to set anything in stone. The scary thing is today I have no pain in my hips, legs or feet and have energy....

Another appt

I went Thursday again to the Dr, just for an NST and to see him. I was only there an hour....anyway....I asked him if we could go ahead and have the baby Monday, he said no. We talked about the fluid and the esophagus and I asked him how worried should I be, since I tend to worry...alot, he said I needed to have reasonable concern. He said that if there is an issue it would be between the mouth and the stomach, which means she would have to go to Macon or Shands or the tube from the stomach out which they can fix here. We will have an anatomy ultrasound on Monday with special attention on the stomach. Hopefully there is nothing to worry about.

Donald had a baseball game tonight so me and Mimae went shopping. Surprisingly enough she got the cutest outfit from JC Pennys....we also got a ton of stuff from Target, I just love that store.

The season has started!!!!

Amelia had her first tbat game tonight for the season, in my opinion they won....they were much better behaved and organized than the other team and since they do not keep score.......Amelia is so excited because Mackenzie is on her team, she is also thrilled because of Grayson and Bennett. She did so good hitting, she was especially excited about getting to wear a helmet.

Mackenzie's turn.

Headed for home.

Her turn to catch the ball. Her coaches make sure everyone has a turn to catch and throw the ball, much better than last year when it was a fight, fist fight, over who got to get the ball and throw it.

After the game we headed to Abby's to celebrate her 9th bday. I think Anna is trying to kiss Amelia in this pic.

hahahaha you can get in but you cannot get out...and yes we left them there

Blowing out the candles.

Went to the diabetes doctor today, my patience is growing very thin with the doc visits or rather some of the people that work there......the intake nurse was writing everything they were going to charge me for rather that taking the blood for the sugar test after I had already stuck myself and done my test so I said "it seems to me yall are more concerned with how much and what you can charge me for rather than treating me." Then she tried to make me disconnect my insulin pump so she could download it, which they charge you for, and I told her no. She tried to argue but did not make it very far. I am sure Donald will agree that even before I was not very patient to begin with but it seems like any patience I had is now GONE!

Luckily I have no doctor appointment tomorrow, I do have a lovely insurance ethics class in Tifton, hopefully we will not have a class idiot that ask 45057461 questions.

Doc Visit

Went to the Doc today, my fluid level is still up, so I asked is there something to do, and he said we are already doing every possible test we can so we will just watch and then when she is born we will have to check her esophagus and stomach. INSERT PANIC!!!! At this I said well you know we had the issue already with the stomach he said yes, he said I could send you back to Macon but they have seen the stomach and we have seen the stomach and so there is nothing right now to do......but wait.

I go back Thursday for just a NST. Oh and it is ALWAYS fun to be examined at 34 weeks!!!

Following are some other observations from the doctors office(I do spend a lot of time there so...):

*Children who are at speaking age should be left at home, today there were 2 women there for their annuals, b/c they said it, with toddlers. Please someone tell me what did they do with them in the examining room, and they were kinda bratty.
*Pregnancy pants, I should NOT be able to see the expandable waste line because you are wearing a tank top that would fit Amelia.....
*It is not the place I want to hear about your recent surgery or anything else, not that I do not care, but I don't.
*Don' ask me questions either if I wanted to talk to you about morning sickness, how long you have been waiting or anything else I would offer this info up.

And last but certainly not least.....

*Just because you see someone you know does NOT mean you have to speak....from across the room. If you are close it may be ok, if not just let it go.

I am sure people will not agree with some of this, but being that I go as much as I do, I have deemed myself an expert.......

Doc visit

On Friday I had another appt, he said my fluid level is higher and that I would probably go early. I asked so I will not make it 5 more weeks to my May 12th date and he said no, we will take it day by day. So then I asked well I am going out of town today can I still go, he said where are you going, I said St Augustine, he said Sure they have hospitals there.

So I guess Monday we will see what everything looks like when I go back. Amelia and I went down to St Augustine Friday afternoon, the baseball team was already there but we stayed with Lori. We had a good time.

When we got back the shirts Amelia had picked out had come!!!! In case you can't see the little one, it says "I'm the baby sister" and then has Avie at the bottom.

I am sure I will have an update on Monday!!!
